How would u advice a divorced mother of four to divorce her third husband because they r not compatible. Both r believers and very active in ministry but they just don't get along because the young man believes that the marriage is supposed to be a means of helping him to get his green card.He wants all the benefits attached to the marriage but does not want the commitment of marriage.the lady wants to move on with her life but she is waiting to help the young man get his green card after which she will file a divorce and move on. She is just worried about the effect on her spirituality because she feels that it will make her not to function well in service because of her unsteady relationships when it comes to marriage.
ReplyDeleteAs much as she would like to help this man, I wonder what effect being with this man would have on her children. I raised my son on my own until he flew the coop a couple of years ago. I am so glad I didn't date much during my son's formative years. It was so worth it to wait. My son is now learning how to be independent and I am dating a really nice guy. I don't think getting married to help someone get a green card is any reason to get married. I think this lady should focus on taking care of her kids...serve them and realize she will never get this time back. Don't worry about men...get your kids raised then God will provide a good man for you to live out your day's in God's service.
